hello all! Well let me start by saying that today in 2006 there are so many books dealing with gear, equipment and uniforms used during Vietnam that there is NO Excuse for getting it wrong! 1st ALICE packs, dont use them, ALICE gear, also post Nam! the soldier wearing the OD jungle fatigues is wearing a set of POST war jungle fatigues! the correct uniform is the slant pocket jungle fatigues. all you reenactors should visit Trey Moores site... Mooremilitaria.com, he sells a complete list of new and reproduced gear for all your needs. also, please no tigerstripe products! This is a horrible copy and so few troops, other than LRRPs and Rangers and other Elites used them, you really need to walk before you can run and get the basics down first. Vietnam can be a really easy impression if you just take a little time and buy a decent reference book or two and read them. take pride in your impression and keep improving on it! good books are Kevin Lyles, and Shelby Stanton's, both books are reasonably priced about 20-25 dollars and are good beginner references!

| Well for the most part you have got your gear correct, minue the Alice pack which was not used in Vietnam and had not even been invented in that time period. The proper pack you should be advertising is the Light weight rucksack which is the proper pack, that or the X-Frame Pack which is also the correct pack. Moving along the basic web gear you have a picture of is the Alice gear which is from after the Vietnam war. The proper gear you should advertise would be all the Canvas stuff. I believe its called M56 web gear. Other than that your all good. I am s United States Marine and also a Vietnam War Reenactor. So Just trying to make sure you guys have the correct stuff, if your going to reenact make sure you have got it right. Keep it up guys. Semper Fi |
